The Seminar is fast approaching Hotel costs have gone up in price like everything else. We have
contacted several hotels and have settle on the Ramada by Wyndham Lansing Hotel and Conference Center in Lansing. Some of you might remember the Seminar Deep Freeze at this
hotel several years ago. They have welcomed us back and we are working to make this a great Seminar for 2023. In order to get the price down ABATE of Michigan is going to pay $20 for the first 60 rooms booked for the full weekend (Friday and Saturday). The reservations must be made using the number on the flyer, also in the Michigan Rider this month. If you use any other number, they will not have the block information. Please note all reservations must be made
by December 15, 2022. Also back is the Regional Coordinator block of rooms around the pool. You must be an RC to use this block. If you are not an RC, and book on this block of rooms, you will be contacted to re-book.
This hotel is under new management and they are renovating sections at a time. These renovations could still be going on in January. Please also remember to bring your mugs/cups with lids. As with every hotel that has a caterer or has a restaurant, No food and/or beverage of any kind will be permitted to be brought into the hotels’ meeting or banquet rooms by the
group or any of the group’s guests. All food and beverage items served in public meeting or banquet rooms must be supplied and prepared by the Hotel. There will be a DJ at the Holidome poolroom Friday and Saturday night. Snacks are allowed in the Holidome area when the Entertainment starts at 9:00 pm each night. A cash bar will be set up by the hotel in this room for both nights.
Bring your auction items to the Seminar you know “one person’s trash is another person’s treasure”. Big or small will take them all, sorry just had to. Anyway, this part of the Seminar is so much fun and everyone has a chance at taking something home.
If you have questions or concerns about any of this, please take them to your Region Coordinator if they do not have the answers they can contact me. Look for State Event Committee members posting on Abate of Michigan Facebook page too.
Looking forward to seeing everyone,
Pam Fischer
